TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A new marketing campaign will tell visitors Tupelo is open for business, after a destructive tornado swept through the city last month. The city council is allowing the Convention and Visitors Bureau to use up to $250,000 for the campaign. Cities within a six hour radius, such as New Orleans and Nashville, will be targeted.

All forms of media will be used to lure weekend tourists. The money will come from the CVB’s reserve fund.
