TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Tupelo and North Mississippi Electric Provider receive federal money to help with costs from the April 28 tornado outbreak.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will award the All-America City Award, nearly $1.4 million, for debris removal.

East Mississippi Electric Power Association was granted a little more than $1 million for repairs to its electrical distribution system.

The disaster relief grants help local governments and organizations pay for most of the debris removal costs and repairs.
