Video: Tupelo Residents Wear Heels for Run

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Damp and wet weather didn’t stop runners from taking part in a 5K Saturday morning in Tupelo.

The first ever “Run in Her Shoes” 5K and fun run was held at Fairpark.

The event was sponsored by the Tupelo Women’s Club.

Participants ran the 5K in their sneakers, but a few put on high heels for the short fun run.

Proceeds benefited Regional Rehab, Tupelo Lee Humane Society and the Down on Main Concert Series.
