Video: Tupelo School Receives ‘Extreme Makeover’

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Thanks to some volunteers, a Tupelo elementary school got an Extreme Makeover, Saturday.

Lawhon Elementary received a grant from the Association of Excellence in Education entitled, “Extreme Makeover: Courtyard Edition” in order to renovate the outdoor park area of the school.

The area will be called the Art and Soul Garden and it will give pupils the opportunity to work on a real life garden.

On Saturday, students, parents, teachers and other volunteers did landscaping and painting to spruce up the area.
