Video: TVA President Tours North Mississippi Discussing Economic Development

NORTH MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) — The president of the Tennessee Valley Authority spent the day in North Mississippi visiting businesses, to see how the government agency can encourage more economic development in the area.

TVA President and CEO Bill Johnson toured the Tecumseh Plant in Verona this morning.

He was briefed on plans expansion plans at the facility, which makes compressors and other parts for appliances.

Johnson says it’s important to see how TVA can work with industry throughout the region, especially as businesses expand and relocate to the area.

Johnson also toured the Yokohama site in West Point later today.
