NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) -The smell of roasting hot dogs and frying funnel cakes fills the air above Union County. The fair has been delivering, food, fun and entertainment for a few days now.
The Union County Fair is the largest in North Mississippi! Fun activities include rodeos, pageants, and a children’s day.
“We have about 15 rides for teenagers you get in the ring of fire and some things a little more fun. You also have about 15 what we call kiddy rides which are someone that are 10 and under,” said Joe Davis, Fair Board Member.
“In New Albany there’s not much to do so it’s something that everybody does. It’s just fun to hang out with friends too,” said fair-goer Abby Spencer.
“It’s just a lot of fun and a lot of good family activities that you don’t see in a lot of paces anymore and it gives folks an opportunity to see where their food and different things come from with agricultural exhibits and it’s just a great place to come and have a good time,” added Davis.
Not only is the fair a good place to go to have a great time, it also brings thousands of visitors to Union County. The county fair will continue until Saturday.
