TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — The Winter Wonderland that is Celebration Village features fashion.

“Probably our biggest seller is going to be our leggings and boots and boot socks, all the girls are wanting that to accessorize with their outfits,” said Natalie Bullard of Merle Norman & More.
Lots of food.

“I’m looking for more chess squares,” said California resident Michael Barron.

There’s jewelry, like these handmade pieces by a Brandon craftsman.

“It starts out as wire on a spool and he weaves it into one of a kind works of art that you can wear,” said Rachel Hillensbeck, of Jewelry by Randy.

One booth features hand painted gourds.

“They have to be cleaned first and then painted, a lot of times the shape of the gourd tells me what it wants to be, whether it’s a Santa, or witch or whatever,” said Pam Montgomery of Trinity Mountain Gourds.

And of course there’s toys. One of the most popular items at this village is at the “Bulls Eye Bow” booth.

The Kansas based entrepreneurs market this kids bow, with a soft, rounded foam tip.

“We’ve had a very good response on the bow and arrows, with all the movies that are out, it’s been a popular item,” said Lisa Kahrs, of Bulls Eye Bow.

Some vendors support non profit organizations, like the “Friends of Uganda” where each item sold helps orphans and widows in Uganda.

“The women who do this would make, if they made a dollar a day it would be a good wage there. Here they are able to sell it directly in the states, we don’t make a profit on it so we sell it , all the profit goes back to the women,” said James Hurley of Friends of Uganda.

Consumers can shop for a cause at Celebration Village through Saturday evening.

More than 15,000 people are expected to visit Celebration Village this year.It all takes place in Building Five of the Tupelo Furniture market.
