VERONA, Miss. (WCBI) — Verona has a dangerous dog ordinance. With warmer weather bringing more people and animals outside, city leaders want it enforced.

Aldermen have instructed the city’s animal control officer and police to cite dog owners.

The city law requires aggressive dogs to be registered with the city.

They also must be properly restrained, muzzled and housed.

The enforcement comes amid a growing number of complaints.
