COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — There is still a need for volunteers in Lowndes County to cut trees on private property. The Community Volunteer Center of the United Way says experienced chainsaw operators are needed. The organization says many storm victims from April 28th twisters have limited means to pay someone to do the work. You must be 21 or older to volunteer. If you would like to help, contact the United Way of Lowndes County.
