WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – In the spirit of Christmas, for the next two days a West Point charitable group is giving out food stuffs, household items, candies, and school supplies to low income families, the elderly, and disabled.

For the last eight years the We Care Committee has been making a difference in the lives of needy residents of West Point.

The ministry which began in Louisville later moved their office to West Point on Highway 45 Alternate North.

We Care Committee members usually host more than one food and supply drive a year.

“I started really from my home. So this has grown so much and I’m so thankful for it. Last year we served almost 3,000 people. And we’re trying to meet that goal again this year or double,” said Luezarah Robinson, Committee Director.

The We Care Committee food and supply drive will continue on Saturday.
