NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – The end is in sight for the latest leg of a North Central Mississippi road project that has been years in the making. Crews are putting the finishing touches on a six-mile four-lane stretch of Highway 15 between the northern New Albany city limits and the Tippah County line.

Bridge and shoulder work, striping and some paving should be completed by this Spring. The almost 20 million dollar project is part of a broader plan to improve north-south access and safety through Chickasaw, Pontotoc, Union and Tippah counties for the industries that line the busy roadway.
