LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Thieves allegedly broke into the organization helping Louisville rebuild their lives.

Louisville police say someone broke into two “Winston Strong” warehouses sometime between Friday afternoon and early this morning.

Investigators say the burglars took about a dozen power tools, batteries, and accessories after breaking a window to get inside the building.

Police also believe the same people also stole a large saw from the nearby Hudspeth Warehouse.

“You’re thankful that they didn’t do more damage, and didn’t take more things, but by the same token, those are an asset that we’re able to give volunteers when they come to rebuild a house, and now we don’t have that asset available to us,” Mike Dowd with Winston Strong said. “We’ve lost that, so it’s one more thing we have to look at getting replaced, or have to do without.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Louisville police or Crime Stoppers.
