Video: Winston Strong Still Receiving Volunteers

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Winston Strong a community-based recovery committee of volunteers have been busy since the April 28th tornado forever changed the lives of people in Louisville and Winston County.

A variety of needs have already been met in terms of cleanup and debris removal, but now there is a transition to the rebuilding and repair phase. A process expected to take anywhere from one year to eighteen months. Winston Strong still need volunteers in order to help get people back into their homes.

“Professional and non-professional. Administrative, warehouse; We have need for delivery drivers that type thing for pieces of equipment or supplies. We have carpentry needs, we have the basic demolition needs,” said Hubert Yates/Winston Strong Management Volunteer Coordinator.

World Renew of Pennsylvania and Ohio are the latest national organizations partnering with Winston Strong. They are set up on site at Louisville First United Methodist Church between 9-4PM. For more information call 405-403-1817 or go to www.winstonstrong.org.
