Video: Winter Weather Hurts Local Blood Bank

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — The weather may be better now, but recent winter storms in North Mississippi have hurt a local blood bank.

United Blood Services in Tupelo is dealing with a shortage since the storms – losing about 400 pints of blood.

The ice and snow kept potential donors at home, and caused United to have to cancel or reschedule blood drives.
