COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Over 80 volunteers gathered at the Columbus Farmer’s Market this morning…

Volunteers from the Columbus Air Force Base and Mississippi State University Maroon Edition were among the volunteers that helped the Columbus East Lions Club deliver Magnolia Directories throughout the city of Columbus. The Lion’s Club is an organization that meets the needs throughout their community. Vice President, Brian Vowell says with volunteers they can do a lot more for the community.

“We could not do it without the volunteers. We’re going to deliver approximately 12 thousand phone books within the city limits of Columbus. It’s a huge undertaking, but we’re hoping to get this done in one day,” says Brian Vowell.

Lunch was provided for all the volunteers.
