Warm Saturday Ahead

Your Friday evening will feature partly cloudy skies with lows near 60. Patchy fog is expected in some rural areas. It will burn off by 8am Saturday.

Look for a nice day on Saturday with partly to mostly sunny skies across North MS and West AL. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s for highs. For most of us, this is around 10 degrees above average for this time of year. If you’re headed out to either the Ole Miss or Mississippi State game, you’ll want to dress for summer. Winds will shift to the south Saturday afternoon allowing conditions to feel humid and certainly warm.

A line of storms will develop in the plains tomorrow which could move into our northwestern counties late Saturday night. But our best rain chances will come with the actual cold front on Sunday. Lows Saturday evening will be in the middle 60s.

The cold front will move into our viewing area late Sunday afternoon and bring showers and storms with it. Chance of rains is 40 percent.

Temperatures will stay moderate into the beginning of our work week. Sunshine returns to the viewing area Monday.
