WATER VALLEY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Constable Brent Anderson have arrested a Water Valley man on drug-related charges.
According to Sheriff Lance Humphrey’s, Michael Morgan is being charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and simple possession of a controlled substance.
Morgan was taken into custody at his residence on Central Street after a search warrant was executed.
Officials seized almost three-fourths of a pound of marijuana, $1,784.64 in cash, three ecstasy pills, a pistol, and other drug paraphernalia.
The serial number on the pistol had been scratched over, and officers say he could face federal charges for defacing the gun.
