A Freeze Warning is now in effect for Tishomingo and Prentiss county from midnight until 8:00 AM Thursday. A Frost Advisory is now in effect for Calhoun, Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Monroe, Union & Yalobusha county from midnight until 8:00 AM Thursday.
Tonight: High pressure will begin to settle into the viewing area this evening, allowing clouds to decrease and skies to clear. Light winds paired with sub-freezing temperatures could result in frost that may kill tender vegetation if left uncovered. Lows tonight will reach the lower 30s.
Thursday: Full sunshine will finally return to the viewing area. Highs will be right around 60 degrees and winds will be on the light side.
On Friday expect skies to be sunny with highs warming up into the upper 60s. Things look great for high school football but it will cool down during the evening hours. The weekend looks dry and mild with highs in the low to mid 70s.
A cold front will produce showers and storms on Monday and a few of them may be on the strong side. We’ll continue to monitor the situation during the coming days.
