Your First Alert Forecast:
Wednesday: Today will be another warm one as highs top out in the low to mid 90s. Afternoon pop up showers are possible thanks to the combination of heat and humidity. For the most part, though, we will see sunny skies. Overnight, temperatures will fall around the 70 degree mark indicating another humid day tomorrow.
Thursday: Mostly sunny skies and humid conditions will continue for Thursday, but relief is on the way! Plan on highs in the low to mid 90s and one last round of overnight temperatures around 70. Similar to the past few days, a stray storm or two cannot be ruled out.
Friday: As our weak cold front pushes through the area, the chance of rain will be about 20%. We expect most of the showers to occur early on, and any lingering storms should taper off prior to Friday Night Football. Temperatures will be slightly lower for the close out of the work week with afternoon highs topping out around the 90 degree mark. Overnight lows will be significantly cooler in the lower 60s.
Weekend: It is a shame both Mississippi State and Ole Miss football teams are playing away this weekend because conditions will be excellent for the weekend. Overall we will see quiet, sunny skies, lower humidity levels, and high temperatures in the 80s.
