Saturday: Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures should peak in the low to mid 80s during the afternoon. A weak cold front may spark a stray shower or t-shower across the far northwestern part of our area (near Oxford) during the day but we’re not really looking at a good chance of rain. I’m still optimistic for quiet football weather for the Ole Miss and MSU games.
Sunday: Unseasonably warm low 80s are expected yet again under partly cloudy skies. Perhaps a trip to the pumpkin patch is in order? Just an idea on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Monday (Columbus Day): Low 80s and partly cloudy skies should continue across the region. Hopefully you have the day off so you can take full advantage of the pleasant fall conditions.
Tuesday – Thursday: Active weather will become more favorable as a cold front approaches. Showers with embedded storms are a fairly good bet at this point between late Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will tumble from near 80 Tuesday to the low 70s or even 60s by Thursday.
