West Point Drug Store Burglarized

West Point, Mississippi (WCBI) – West Point police are searching for the thieves that broke into Point City Drugs early Thursday morning.

A patrol officer noticed the broken front door glass while on patrol about 3 or 4 A.M., according to West Point Chief Tim Brinkley.

Brinkley said the alarm system was disabled, and it appears prescription drugs are what the burglars took from the store.

Inventory is being done to determine what was taken.

If you have any information about the crime, call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or West Point Police.

Brinkley said as the holiday season approaches, he encourages businesses and homeowners to upgrade their surveillance and alarm systems.
