West Point Police Make Third Arrest in Huddle House Assault

WEST POINT, Miss. (Press Release) — A third alleged perpetrator of the assault on a local man has been arrested and charged by the West Point Police Department.

21-year-old Constance Levail McFarland of 403 West Jefferson Street, Aberdeen, was arrested and charged Nov. 19 in the Huddle House assault that left one man seriously injured.

20-year-old Marquavious McMillian and 22-year-old Courtez McMillian have also been arrested in connection with the assault.

Two others were previously arrested in the case that occurred in August.

McFarland was taken into custody in Aberdeen without incident after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

McFarland has been formally charged with aggravated assault. He was transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

McFarland’s bond was set at $250,000.

“The investigation is continuing and witnesses are still being interviewed,” West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley said.

Early in the investigation the West Point Police Department solicited the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI). The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Aberdeen Police Department also assisted with the case. The District Attorney’s Office has been fully briefed.

“We knew from the beginning that this was a very complex case,” Brinkley said. “We are making arrests as the investigation continues and leads develop.”
