Temperatures will remain fairly steady during the night (mainly 40s) but rain is expected to become more widespread after midnight. It may become moderate to heavy in places by daybreak.
The first day of 2013 will be cloudy, raw, and wet across our area. Let’s hope this doesn’t set the tone for the entire year! Temperatures will range from the mid 40s to the low 50s and the wind will be from the north between 5 and 10 mph. Between 1″ and 2″ of rain is not out of the question by late in the evening.
We’ll dry out Tuesday night but the clouds should hold tough for our day Wednesday. More sun is expected by late in the work week and for the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will remain cool for the near term but they may moderate back to near normal levels by Sunday.
