This Morning: Rain chances look to hold off at least through the 7am hour. Otherwise mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the lower 70s. Muggy! It will certainly be muggy today and really for the next several days to come. Weak disturbances traveling along a stationary boundary will up our rain chances as we head into later morning and into the lunch hour.
Rest of the Day: Rain chances will go up to about 50-60% as we head into the mid to late morning and into the afternoon. Some of these storms may be strong. The main severe weather threat will be strong winds and frequent lightning. This is par for the course for summertime weather. It will be humid with cloudy skies – maybe a break of sunshine from time to time but most of the day will be cloudy. Despite the clouds, afternoon highs will be in the lower 90s and it will feel more like the mid to upper 90s because of all the humidity.
Tonight: The chance of showers and thunderstorms continues into the evening and overnight. Some of these storms have the chance of getting a little gusty. I also expect to see a fair share of lightning with these storms. Expect mostly cloudy skies overnight and temperatures in the low 70s by morning.
Tuesday Very similar to Monday – rain chances will be between 50-60% as a series of weak disturbances move along a stationary boundary. This simply means we have a better chance of rain Monday and Tuesday since we have enough, what we call, lift – in the atmosphere. Despite a mostly cloudy day, highs will be in the low 90s and overnight lows will be in the low 70s.
Rest of the Week: A mix of sun and clouds with a 30% chance of thunderstorms. Highs will be in the low 90s with overnight lows in the upper 60s and low 70s.
