WINONA, Miss. (WCBI) – Winona’s new city hall is up and running. The new offices are located at 409 Summit Street in the former First Bank and Trust building. After months of negotiation, the city agreed to purchase the building for 225-thousand dollars last fall. And the move was a long time coming.
“This is a wonderful facility. It greatly enhances the outlook of Winona and how we look to other communities. We are trying to make Winona a very good place to live, raise your kids and family and everything and I think this greatly helps it,” says Mayor Jerry Flowers.
Mayor Flowers also added that the move wouldn’t have been possible without the help from the Board of Alderman.
An official open house will be held later this month.
