Woman Charged With Embezzlement, Man With Assault
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Columbus woman is accused of stealing from her former employer.
Shaquita Harris is charged with embezzling from the Family Dollar store in Caledonia where she was a clerk.
The 36-year-old also faces charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in an unrelated case. Her bond on the embezzlement case is $7,500.
In an unrelated case, 36-year-old Toby Houde is charged with aggravated domestic assault and assault on medical personnel following a Monday incident in which he allegedly assaulted his wife and after being taken to Baptist Golden Triangle for a self-inflicted wound, assaulted medical personnel there.
His bond is set at $30,000.
And in another unrelated case, Christopher Houser, 41, of Columbus is charged with burglary of an auto and possession of paraphernalia. His bond is set at $20,000.
