Woman Killed in Alcorn Co. Wreck

ALCORN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi state troopers are investigating a wreck that killed a Tennessee woman in Alcorn County.

The wreck happened at the intersection of US 72 and CR 735 near Corinth around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Troopers say the woman, who’s from Selmer, Tennessee, tried to turn onto US 72 when she pulled out in front of a Chevrolet pickup truck.

She died on the scene.

The other driver wasn’t injured.
