STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -Women looking for better opportunities and knowledge in both life and workplace skills were offered a hand up by the Christian Women’s Job Corps in Starkville.

Graduation for the 13 women in the program was held at the First Baptist Outreach Center. Participants are now ready to apply what they’ve learned in the work field.

“Anyone out there looking to get back into the work force or get into the work force I’d highly recommend it. They teach you all different types of job skills,” said graduate Bridgett Taylor.

“For me to put myself back out there to go to school that was my biggest challenge because I started raising a family early, didn’t go to college, started raising a family. That was the biggest challenge I had,” said graduate Alana Cook.

The program included computer skills, job coaches, and prayer partners.
