‘World’s Most Admired Bass Fisherman’ Gives Message of Faith, Hope To Local Church

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – The man known as the world’s most admired bass fisherman visited a church in our area this weekend, delivering a message of motivation and faith.

On Saturday evening, Auburn Baptist Church held its annual outdoor sports banquet. This year’s speaker was 36 year old Clay Dyer .

The Hamilton Alabama resident is a professional fisherman, who was born without any lower limbs, no arm on his left side and a partial arm on the right.

Dyer spoke of how he fishes without any special equipment, but his main message was about the true source of his abilities.

“The best way I would know to describe it would be no excuses. Not having any excuses to living life to the fullest for Christ , and in doing that seeing how when you live your life for Christ, you will be blessed with happiness and joy and peace, that’s beyond all understanding,” Dyer said.

“Clay is the epitome of taking the situation God has given you and using it in whatever way to glorify Him and in layman’s terms that’s what we were put on earth to do, is glorify God in everything we do,” said Auburn Baptist Church Member Josh Herndon.

Dyer’s first tournament of this season is in mid March in Alabama. If you would like to get in touch with him for a speaking engagement, go to www.claydyer.net
