Younger Sworn In to Fill Brown’s District 17 Seat

JACKSON, Miss. (Press Release) — Charles “Chuck” Younger was sworn in today to fill the District 17 seat left vacant by the late Terry Brown, President Pro Tempore.

Lt. Governor Tate Reeves conducted the ceremony, held in the Senate chambers before family and friends of Senator Younger.

The 51-year-old Younger will serve the remainder of Brown’s term that runs through January 2016. Younger has been a farmer and rancher in Lowndes and Monroe counties.
