YALOBUSHA COUNTY, Miss. WCBI) — Yalobusha County residents frustrated by trash collection complaints may get some relief this spring.

County supervisors will take bids February 4th on a three-year contract for the county’s curbside trash pick up. Resourceful Environmental out of Ripley has handled the service for the last dozen years but in the last two years, residents and county officials have been upset by the growing number of missed routes and other problems.

The new contract will give the county the power to penalize the new contractor for poor service. Residents currently pat 12 dollars a month for service.
