Jacob is thrilled to join the WCBI Weather Team. Originally from Illinois, he is currently a graduate student in Professional Meteorology with an emphasis in Broadcasting at Mississippi State. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is working towards a Certificate in Non Profit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jacob has spent time working with WCIA 3 News in Champaign, IL, KOCO-5 in Oklahoma City, OK and ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, AL.

Jacob has a passion for education and community development. He is the CEO of an educational non-profit and has worked with organizations including the National FFA Organization and Life Church. He student taught in high school agricultural sciences near Moline, IL. Jacob has also been recognized by the White House when in 2012 he was recognized as a Champion of Change for his work in community development and agricultural education.

In his spare time Jacob loves to listen to podcasts, read, work with youth, cook and watch sports. He also is an avid storm chaser and has had his work featured on over 20 TV stations around the country.
