A Gospel Concert Takes Place To Benefit Columbus Tornado Victims

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Building Bridges of Hope hosted a gospel choir benefit concert on Sunday.

It’s to help those impacted in Columbus by the recent tornado.

The event was held at the Trotter Convention Center for impacted families and volunteers.

Eight different groups volunteered at the concert and all of their proceeds collected from the concert will go back into the community.

“This is just another way of showing support to the citizens. I just want to thank all of the people that attended this gospel program, all of the different groups that decided to show up for this program and do this in honor of the ones that were affected by the tornado,” says Mayor Robert Smith.

All proceeds will go towards the victims to assist with food, clothing, and shelter.
