NEW ALBANY, Miss.(WCBI) — Saturday in New Albany the Bisquits and Jams Farmers Market opened for its fourth season at the corner of Main and Bankhead near the Tallahatchie River.

The Farmers Market has been rebranded since moving from the Union County Fairgrounds.

They give away biscuits and coffee as a incentive to come and shop for fresh fruits and vegetables. It will be open for fifteen weeks.

And after a lot of work since March New Albany’s Splash Park reopened Saturday.

Workers tested out the water slide at the attraction located in the BNA Sports Complex.

Admission is $4 for two hours at the park. Children 12 and under can use the park.

The city says things are usually slow until June when things really heat up and parents bring their children here to cool off and get some exercise.
