New Hope soldier surprises daughter at school

NEW HOPE, Miss. (WCBI) – You’re not crying, we’re all crying.

Sergeant Roger House surprised his daughter at her kindergarten class Friday morning in New Hope.

Tears flowed from pretty much everyone in the room including House who said he was so happy to see his daughter.

The two could not stop hugging.

House is a Field Artillery Sergeant in the 155th.

“I’ve been gone 7 months over seas. I was worried you know, this is her first time being away from a deployment with me, so I was afraid how she’d react when she saw me and how my son was going to react when he saw me,”

The class had a welcome home party for House and his family.
