At 536 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Collinwood to near Walnut
Grove. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 mph or greater and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Threet, Zip City, Underwood-Petersville, St. Florian, Wright,
Waterloo, and Florence.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
northwestern Alabama.

At 458 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ethelsville, or near Columbus, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ethelsville, North Pickens Airport, Millport, McShan, Gordo, Shaw,
Owens, Lubbub, Forest, Macedonia, Reform, Melborne, Ashcraft Corner,
and Kennedy.
