Hot and Sunny Weekend

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – The September Heat Wave continues this weekend bringing more unbearable temps.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Another night of uncomfortable evening conditions are expected. Friday night football games will be clear for rain, but not from the low 80’s. Eventually, temps will cool into the low 70’s overnight.

THIS WEEKEND – Saturday continues the hot streak with air temps again climbing to the triple digits. A Heat Advisory has been issued for a majority of the NE corner for feels-like temps reaching 105. Sunshine will not be forgiving, so if you have plans outdoors be sure to take breaks and stay hydrated. Sunday will repeat Saturday, but with a slight increase for chances of isolated rain.

NEXT WEEK – Monday will kick off the new work week with scattered showers and storms, but temps still have the opportunity to reach the upper 90’s by the afternoon. The afternoon high will stay in the mid to upper 90’s with isolated showers for a majority of the week. By Wednesday night, overnight lows will be more normal, cooling to the upper 60’s!
