Dry for Now
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – We are staying dry for now, but a developing tropical system could influence our rain chances this weekend.
TUESDAY EVENING: A nice, calm night for our area. We’ll have clear conditions and temperatures will fall into the mid-50’s overnight.
REST OF WORK WEEK: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday will all bring similar conditions: highs in the low-90s and dry conditions. We’ve got plenty of sunshine in store for the rest of the work week – get outside and enjoy it! Low temperatures will range from the upper-50s to the lower-60s each day.
TROPICS: We are monitoring the ongoing development of Tropical Depression Nine, which is currently located over the western Gulf. Currently, the system is producing winds up to 35 mph (with gusts up to 45 mph) as it churns over very warm waters. Confidence in a forecast track is low at this time; however, current guidance suggests that the system will approach the Gulf Coast later this week. As of now, rain and storms are expected across our area on Saturday and Sunday as a result of this tropical system.
