According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Mississippi State is expected to add Baylor quarterback Blake Shapen from the transfer portal. Shapen will be a senior next year and threw for 5,574 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in 26 games for the Bears in three seasons.

Shapen was limited to just eight games after suffering an MCL injury this year but threw for 2,188 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just three interceptions.

After losing offensive pieces who provided a lot of production this year for MSU like Will Rogers, Woody Marks, and Zavion Thomas to the transfer portal and Tulu Griffin to the NFL Draft, first-year head coach Jeff Lebby has added another quarterback to the depth chart.

We will keep you updated on future transfer portal additions.
