Lee County Deputies investigate a possible double homicide
LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – According to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson, around 3:30 pm on Friday, May 23, Lee County 911 emergency received a report that led Deputies to a home on County Road 295 in the Shannon area.
When Deputies arrived, they came in contact with the property owner and a resident and searched the area.
During the search, two dead people were found.
The resident was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
Investigators responded quickly and have launched a formal investigation.
The case is being treated as a double homicide.
The scene has been secured, and the investigation is still ongoing.
