Remembering Longtime former Clay County Sheriff Sammie McNeel
CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Longtime former Clay County Sheriff Sammie Lamar McNeel has passed away.
McNeel was a native of Clay County and graduated from Montpelier High School.
He served more than two decades as the Sheriff of Clay County from 1971 to 1992.
He was laid to rest at Pine Bluff Cemetery in Mantee on Wednesday.
