City Council appoints new Mayor in Sulligent, AL

SULLIGENT, Al. (WCBI) – The Sulligent City Council appointed a new mayor this afternoon.
This comes 8 weeks after the recently elected Mayor Randy Otts resigned.
City council members nominated and elected Scott Boman to fill the vacant Mayor’s office.
It passed on a three-to-two vote.
Boman lost to Otts in the August election.
More than 50 town residents attended the special meeting.
