6th person arrested in death of former Mississippi football player

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – According to CBS affiliate WJTV, Rankin County deputies announced a sixth suspect was arrested in connection with the death of a former Mississippi football player.

On June 10, 2026, investigators said Kristen O’Brian Ragsdale was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution. Ragsdale was transported to the Rankin County Adult Detention Center and is being held at a $75,000 bond.

The shooting occurred at a home in the 100 block of Adams Road in northern Rankin County around 6:00 pm on June 5, 2026.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said the victim, Idarrious Iantron Bowie, of Lena, was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Bowie was a graduate of Morton High School and played collegiate football at Ole Miss and Jackson State University.

The sheriff said witnesses reported seeing a small gray passenger car leaving the scene with multiple occupants. Deputies recovered one firearm as part of the investigation.

Ladarious Harrison, Dominick Sanabria, Semiko Crump, Kaylee Trimble and Michael Mitchell were previously arrested in connection to the case and pled not guilty to the charges against them.

Investigators said Harrison and Sanabria were both charged with murder, while Crump, Trimble and Mitchell were charged with accessory after the fact of murder. Mitchell and Trimble both received a $500,000 bond, while bond was denied for the other three suspects.
