Seasonable Conditions Through the End of the Week

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) — Seasonable fall temperatures are here, with highs staying below 90° and lows in the 60s. This is certainly a change from the hot summer conditions of the past several weeks.

THURSDAY: Today’s high temperature will be around 86° — very seasonable for this time of year. The average high for Columbus is actually 86° as well, so we are forecast to finally be out of those above-average temperatures for the first time in quite a while. There is a very small chance for an isolated spot showers or two to move across our area, but the majority of us won’t see any rain for today, with a drier air mass moving into the mid-South. Skies will be partly sunny, and winds will be out of the east-northeast at 5 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT: The low temperature overnight will be 62°, with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be out of the northeast at 5 mph, calming down towards sunrise.

FRIDAY: Tomorrow’s high temperature will be around 88°, with winds out of the northeast at 5 mph. Skies will be mostly sunny through the day, with a little more cloud cover in the morning.
