Mark Kimoto serves as the morning meteorologist for WCBI News. He is passionate about keeping viewers in northeast Mississippi safe, informed, and aware of what’s going on with the weather, whether the forecast calls for showers, storms, snow, or sunshine.
Originally from Plainview, New York, Mark grew up on Long Island before moving to Starkville for college. Mark graduated from Mississippi State University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in professional meteorology and minors in broadcast journalism and Spanish.
Outside of the studio, you can find Mark working out in the gym, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or hanging out with friends.
