Pleasant Start to the Weekend
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) — No more brutally hot nineties or triple digits this weekend! Just sunshine, some clouds, and temperatures in the eighties. Almost makes you want to grab a pumpkin spice latte on your way to a high school football game this evening…
FRIDAY: Temperatures will be in the sixties and seventies through the morning hours. During the afternoon, we’ll reach a high temperature of 87°. Skies will be mostly sunny, with a couple of passing clouds later in the afternoon. Winds will start out calm but get up to about 5 mph out of the north this afternoon.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Temperatures will drop into the high sixties before midnight, and continue to cool through the early morning hours. Tonight’s overnight low temperature will be 62°. Cloud cover will push into our area through the very early morning hours, making for partly cloudy conditions. Winds will be out of the north at 5 mph, calming down by sunrise.
SATURDAY: The high temperature will again get up to 87° to start out the weekend. Skies will be partly cloudy throughout the day, with more clear conditions in the evening. Winds will start out calm but increase to 5 mph out of the north-northwest in the afternoon.
SUNDAY: It will be a bit warmer for the end of the weekend, with a high temperature around 88°. Sunny skies will stick around all day, with northerly winds at 5 mph.
