Suspect wanted in copper burglary now in custody
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Macon man wanted by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office on a burglary charge is now in custody.
19-year-old A’marni La’Patrick Bell was booked into the Lowndes County jail Thursday afternoon.
Bell is the prime suspect in the theft of several copper fittings from a construction project on the campus of Mississippi University for Women from last week.
Bell was reportedly caught on camera stealing the items, and he allegedly later sold the stolen property to a scrap yard.
The stolen property has been valued at around $15,000.
