Calm and Sunny Fall Day
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) — Conditions will remain clear, calm, and dry for a little while longer. Enjoy these pleasant conditions while they’re here, because this weekend isn’t looking quite so nice.
TUESDAY: Today’s high temperature will be around 90°. However, like yesterday, those dew point values will remain anywhere from 30° to 50° below the actual temperature value. This dry air mass will stay over our area throughout the day. Skies will be clear and sunny, with calm winds.
TUESDAY NIGHT: The low temperature tonight will be 59°. Skies will be mostly clear, with a few passing clouds. Winds will be out of the east at 5 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Dry conditions continue into tomorrow, with a high temperature of 91°. Sunshine will stick around for much of the day. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 mph.
REST OF THE WEEK: With both upper- and lower-level flow shifting to be more southerly by Thursday, moisture from the Gulf will move back into our atmosphere. At the same time, the future remnants of the Eastern Pacific Hurricane Polo will move over the central United States. As a result, rain impacts are likely in our area by the end of the week. As of Tuesday morning, the main timeline for these broader rain impacts runs from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.
