RoyalTeaz is an energy drink with a mission and a message
OXFORD, MISS. (WCBI) – These days, Jared Foster is busy juggling successful restaurants, a seafood distribution company, and other interests, but things weren’t always on the upswing. In 2013, Foster found himself in deep trouble with the law.
Foster says it wasn’t until he landed in jail that he turned his life around.
“I got to realize that after being in that cell , seeing my fingerprints again, realizing how much I had ruined everything in my life, I accepted Christ in August of 2013,” Foster said.
Since then, Foster hasn’t looked back, forging ahead by selling crawfish, then eventually opening popular Oxford restaurants, The Landshark and The Velvet Ditch, with the help of friends and investors, he calls his community.
Now, Foster has unveiled an energy drink with a mission. RoyalTeaz was launched during the recent Ole Miss- Lsu Game. Josh Hocutt is his business partner in RoyalTeaz.
‘Josh had an amazing idea of putting loaded teas into a bottle , can and we actually put an amazing brand name on it because we are identified through Christ , saying that, as we consume products, why not consume them for Jesus,” Foster said.
More than 7 thousand cans of RoyalTeaz, in all 7 flavors, were handed out during the Ole Miss LSU game. Since then, Foster says demand has been strong, and deals are being inked with major beverage distributors.
Both Foster and Hocutt say they are excited about the possibilities with RoyalTeaz.
“The best thing about is it has Jesus on it, we are spreading Good News. The back of the can says, it is not you, it is not me, Jesus did His part,” Foster said.
“Every can sold ties to all local churches, mission organizations, you are giving back when you buy one of these drinks,” said Hocutt.
As distribution expands across North Mississippi and the state, Foster and his team will measure success not just by units sold, but by lives impacted by missions work and other charitable causes supported by RoyalTeaz.
Foster says RoyalTeaz will soon unveil waters and other products.
You can find RoyalTeaz at stores across the area.
