Cousins accused of charging city for residential sewage line
GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI) – A former Guntown Alderman and the city’s former Public Works Operator have been arrested by the State Auditor’s Office.

William Daniel Davis and Robert Lee Davis were arrested today for alleged fraud or embezzlement while in public office.
The charges date back to October and November of 2024 when the cousins allegedly conspired to defraud the City of Guntown by billing the city for the installation of a residential sewage line at the private home belonging to Daniel Davis.
The amount of that job was $9,950 dollars.
If convicted, the Davis could face up to 10 years in prison and $5,000 in fines.
